Some people are so naive. God doesn't rule the earth. Satan does. God rules the Heavens. Your life here is elementary. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will have everlasting life. That's what matters.

That's old testament stuff. Things changed when Jesus Christ came. God knew that humans could not live up to his standards, which is why Jesus came and died for our sins.
Imagine when you die, you're at the pearly gates or whatever..
The devil is there, Jesus is there, and so is God. They are going thru all the things you've done wrong. The devils says, hey, he did this, that, and this, and that..and so on...
Jesus says, nope. I paid for all those sins. He's good.

I'm an athiest, but I don't get why it's so important for some to diminish others faith.
For those that believe I think the answer to most of those questions are simple anyway, we have control of what we do. Free will type of thing.

That is just your belief.
This doesn't really make any sense, at least not to me. I guess you could call it a gesture, but I don't see how a son of a god would need to sacrifice his temporary mortal existence for his father to justify the forgiveness of humans who repent.
His perception of time may be different than ours, but a day is based on the rotation of our celestial body. He must have had the same 24 hours as we do.
If belief in the right god is a condition of being granted a place in paradise then that god is not worth believing in. If Allah is the one true god, does that mean every other "moral" person should be sentenced for a life in hell? If any of the leading gods exist and are the compassionate spirits that religions lead many to believe, then they would accept any moral person no matter whether they believe in him or not.
Why not both? And if so then why does it matter? Why does it matter when anyone dies? Why do humans get so emotional over death when many state they believe they will meet their loved ones again sometime in the future?
Having bad things happen to people disproves god about as much as the movie Men in Black proves there are space aliens. Weather you believe in something as bazaar as god or space aliens it is all a matter of faith. The only thing you need to do is respect others basic human right to freedom of religion. Sadly there are far too many disrespectful people on both sides

- Because Actions have consequences. What this is asking is for is to be able to do whatever you want and never have to face bad things that come from them.

- The people at the time had no knowledge of science. If you could go back in time 3,000 years, the things we know now about germs would baffle the smartest minds of the time. You could never explain evolution, geology, physics, etc to people back then.

- How do you know he hasn't? Many people around the world have claimed to have seen Jesus, angels, ghosts, demons, Satan, etc.
